We're sharing our new framework for tracking, investigating, and disclosing instances of model misalignment at OpenAI. The framework sets criteria and timelines for public disclosure, including when we haven’t yet fully explained or mitigated the behavior. More complex cases may require longer investigation or coordination with third parties. We’ll prioritize examples that reveal new misalignment mechanisms, meaningful changes in known behavior, or findings that challenge assumptions about safety or mitigation. Alongside the framework, we’re publishing six reports on instances of misaligned behavior we’ve observed during the training or evaluation of our models in the last six months. This is a starting point. We’ll refine the process through experience and public feedback, and share more reports on an ongoing basis. https://openai.com/index/model-misalignment-reporting-framework/

Probably for the first time, India has given America a clear, formal and firm reply. The MEA has noted the US Congress passing the Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act. It said energy security for 1.4 billion people is not negotiable. It said the effect on India US ties was already explained at a high level. And it said India will take all needed steps to protect its trade and economic interests. That is the right line. The moment India refuses to treat tariff threats as an order, America has to think twice before putting duties as high as 100%. Even if tariffs come, they are more likely to hit some items for a short time than to hit everything. A working energy and trade understanding among India, China, Russia and Iran, leaving America out, is exactly what the US should fear. Extra sanctions that ignore other countries energy needs only push that closer.

New Delhi formally rejected US pressure to alter its energy trade, signaling a shift in how emerging powers navigate Western sanctions.
